The main god that the Ancient Incas worshipped was called Viracocha which meant lord or instructor. The next most important god was the Inti the Sun God. This was followed by the Thunder God (rain), and the Moon God who was the wife of the Sun God. The Ancient Incas also worshipped huacas, which were sacred places or things. Huacas include mummies of dead leaders, holy places, rocks, streams, and mountains. All Incan families had small statues in their home of huacas.
