History has largely ignored the great atrocities committed by Francisco Pizzaro and his men. Pizzaro was driven by blind greed and his lust for gold. He slaughtered tens of thousands of Incans whose only defense was to sling rocks. Using canons, muskets, crossbows, harquebuses, swords, lanes, and armored calvary the Spanish rolled over the Incas with little interference.
